Well, I've finally moved on to manual mode :-) exciting stuff! lol :-)
I'm still reeeeeally confused, but today I just threw myself into it (see new photos on blog). Sounds like you had a very creative and fun instructor. I'm hoping that the guy teaching me is just taking his time with all the bits and pieces because it's a longer course. Would love to see it all come together soon. Next class is on lighting, and hopefully I can get some of my million questions answered too!Minna Burgesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483895176829852404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5352802653141788555.post-59216155141903255742008-01-17T19:34:00.000+00:002008-01-17T19:34:00.000+00:00Just amazing!!Just amazing!!Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00436362778270157092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5352802653141788555.post-80127282129814784312008-01-17T04:02:00.000+00:002008-01-17T04:02:00.000+00:00Hi Ian,That's great to hear. Encouraging to hear that it makes such a big difference.
Yesterday I brought along my camera to a 2-year-old's birthday party. Blimey, what a challenge that was! Taking photos of one toddler is difficult enough, but when there's 10 of them and their faces are covered in cupcake and they are all on a sugar-high....!!! phew! Also, still not sure about how to get best light inside... and since I don't know the different settings yet, it was a bit difficult (there are some photos on my blog... www.minnaburgess.blogspot.com)
Back to the course tonight :-)
Happy shooting...
MinnaMinna Burgesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483895176829852404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5352802653141788555.post-76411537972474822922008-01-15T23:28:00.000+00:002008-01-15T23:28:00.000+00:00Thanks for checking in guys.Minna, I went on a one...Thanks for checking in guys.

Minna, I went on a one day course last year and it was like somebody 'switching the light on' and ever since I have only ever used my camera (Nikon D70) in fully manual mode or apeture priority...you'll be amazed once you get your head round the basics why you ever used auto....

Steve, I'm sure I can see Crown Heights in the distance:-)iainbrydonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06078376836640422535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5352802653141788555.post-13188344953687273712008-01-15T01:17:00.000+00:002008-01-15T01:17:00.000+00:00Makes Crown Heights seem like the ghetto, come to ...Makes Crown Heights seem like the ghetto, come to think of it........
Great shot.Stephen Gardnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09524521194226363882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5352802653141788555.post-50026712231576260062008-01-14T04:18:00.000+00:002008-01-14T04:18:00.000+00:00Hi Ian,Thanks for your message on my Blog. Still have no idea how my camera works (except on automatic) but I'm sure we'll get to that soon on the course, lol. I'm def. hooked
:-)
You've got some stunning scenery where you live, I can easily see why you are drawn to photographing landscapes. The photos are beautiful. I especially like the green shed by the lake... something about it draws me in. The colours are fantastic.
Keep up the good work.
MinnaMinna Burgesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483895176829852404noreply@blogger.com
